Guitar Pro a free tabs editing program that allows you to create, edit, and play your master pieces.

TuxGuitar. Is the name of this program. And what makes this program nice is the fact that it is open source. Meaning there are just a couple of copyrights and trademarks to the program itself so you can download it use it and pass it on to your friends. TuxGuitar is available for most systems like Mac, Windows, Ubuntu, Fedora, Debian, FreeBSD, and other Linux based systems.

Although the sound on this program isn’t the same as Guitar Pro it is worth having in your collection.
